- To offer training to sustain,develop, advocate their quality arts ed
- To provide these "arts education school laboratories" to share
- To develop community/business partnerships to sustain the process

Overview
Project Facilitators will create, distribute and evaluate an application process to identify 5-6 possible Iowa Model Arts Education Schools/Communities and create a training process and corresponding resources for their development.
Trainers will be selected from the Iowa Alliance for Arts Education member organizations representing visual arts, music, theater, and dance, and trained to relate this process.
5-6 Schools demonstrating committment to arts education will be selected
and attend a two-day training session to create a mission and vision statement and Strategic Plan, after identifying local arts education weaknesses and strengths.
Model Arts Education Schools/Communities will meet locally to develop a larger Task Force of community arts education supporters to take responsibility for each Strategic Plan, locally identified developmental action step, through projects, events, curriculum, involving community/business support and partnerships.
