The "Fresh Start Baby Care Package" initiative will provide necessary items for survival to 7 expectant families in need: a safe crib, bedding, baby clothing and healthy meals delivered during postpartum recovery. Quality of life however is about more than survival. Why help a family in need do more than just survive? BECAUSE. We are part of the human family and also NEED:

This project will provide expectant families with the essentials required for survival, but just as critical is what cannot be shown in a budget -someone who helps you celebrate a milestone moment. Memories are often what carry us through. We file them away and pull them out when needed to remind us during tough times that this too shall pass. For families in need, those things are often missing in the struggle to just survive.

| Budget Notes: In 2009, over 2 million cribs were recalled because they were unsafe. For this project, only new cribs approved by JPMA will be provided to participants. Gently used clothing and blankets will be purchased from consignment shops and donated. Personal support by volunteers for each family=priceless. | |
