"HARNESS THE WIND" with a 10kw wind turbine for Barton No. 2 SchoolBolan Schoolhouse & Cultural Center

Our plan is to promote the use of renewable energy.  The project's 100-foot, 10kW, wind turbine costs $74,000 installed.  It will generate approximately 28,500 KWH annually for electricity needed to heat, cool, and light the Bolan Schoolhouse and Cultural Center.  This way, our funds will go toward programs, tourism, ideas and improvements that benefit the whole community and area rather than being spent on operating expenses.  The project will showcase an environmentally friendly option and an economically sound long-term solution to ever-increasing energy costs.  It will inspire other nonprofits, small businesses, farms, and families to invest in "harnessing the wind"!
